Physical-Therapy

Successful bone and joint treatments often require specialized therapy sessions to complete the recovery process. At Texas Comprehensive Spine Center, we strive to ensure continuity of care after treatment.  With a total of nine physical and occupational therapists and assistants located on-site at our Arlington and Mansfield locations, we work closely with our physicians to develop a customized treatment plan for patients – allowing them to return to an active, pain-free lifestyle as quickly as possible.

What It Is:

Physical therapy and exercise increases muscle flexibility and strength, as well as promotes healing by increasing blood flow to the injured site. The role of a physical therapist is to provide the patient pain relief, rehabilitation and education – often reducing the need for long-term use of prescription medications and their side effects.

What To Expect:

Treatment plans are determined by the patient’s unique needs, abilities and objectives and are designed to decrease swelling and pain, as well as increase range of motion, strength, balance and gait.  Our physical therapists are knowledgeable about surgical procedures and treatment goals and will tailor their efforts to improve well-being, based on the body’s limitations after surgery or an injury. We’ll work closely with each patient to help restore activity, strength and motion, which may involve teaching specific exercises, stretches and techniques and using specialized equipment to address problems.
